Patrick Barlow’s play is a riotous comedy, based quite unashamedly on the famous John Buchan novel.  The story hurtles a notorious fugitive and a spellbound blonde from a London music hall north by northwest to Scotland’s most remote highlands.  Written for a cast of just four actors, Ta-Dah adapted the script to accommodate all its 15 players. The 39 Steps is the tale of an ordinary man on an extraordinarily entertaining adventure. Contains every legendary scene from the award-winning movie – including the chase on the Flying Scotsman, the escape on the Forth Bridge, a bi-plane crash and the sensational death-defying finale in the London Palladium.
