BIDDENDEN'S VERY OWN AMATEUR THEATRE GROUP
Oct 2022: A home-grown murder mystery – presented in cabaret style.
Our audience came to watch a live broadcast of the popular radio soap, ‘Grimley Bottom’ – to mark the 45th anniversary of the drama – going out ‘live’ for the first time. The show was presented ‘cabaret style’. During a break in the show, a body was found in the toilet, apparently murdered. The audience enjoyed a ploughman’s supper before joining an improvised discussion as our detective interviewed each of the cast. Finally, everyone was asked to vote on the guilty party, with just one winner receiving a unique prize! Half the evening’s profit went to Biddenden’s Take Away Pantry.

Mrs Wormsley the show’s producer, pretentious and unecessary; drinks too much.
Eloise Bosomley the Floor Manager; sweet, helpful, loyal confident and efficient.
DI Bob Odbody an off-duty police officer; henpecked.
Muriel Odbody Odbody’s wife; confident, brighter than her D.I husband.
Jingle singers any age, any gender, they sing a three-part harmony jingle.
